This region is bordered by Iceland in the west, the Mediterranean Sea in the south and the Ural in the east but it includes also Israel, Turkey, the European part of Russia, Georgia, Armenia, Azarbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tadzjikistan and Kyrgyztan.
Biennial neonatal screening meetings are organised by ISNS, partnering with one or more institutes in one of the European countries. The intention is to rotate the venue of the meetings over the various countries.
The 13th ISNS European meeting provisionally is to be held in Luxembourg, in 2024.
