Ségolène Aymé, founder of Orphanet, has received the ESHG Award

The European Society of Human Genetics (ESHG) has awarded Professor Ségolène Aymé, founder of Orphanet, for her excellence in human genetics education, in particular in the field of rare diseases and the development of public and professional policies. She has pioneered numerous projects concerning the development of patient care and rare disease research and education in Europe and beyond. The ESHG also recognized her important contributions to our society as chair of the ESHG professional and public policy
committee.
