Additionally, she worked to develop and implement a successful proficiency testing program for laboratories that perform population-based screening for SCID. During her tenure at CDC, she assisted SCID screening site visits to state public health laboratories, to evaluate their assay validation and implementation procedures; her efforts enabled successful SCID newborn screening program implementation in various laboratories (Michigan, Virginia, and Georgia, among others).<\/p><p>Dr. Taylor also served as a contributor on a technical consensus guideline for the Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI NBS06-A), has authored several peer-reviewed publications, and provided presentations to domestic and international scientific meetings.<\/p><p>Currently Dr. Taylor serves as Senior Research Analyst at RTI International, where she provides expert advice on laboratory methodology, assay validation and implementation of high-throughput newborn screening assays.
